Books and Looks and Crooks and Yeah

I missed blogging on this site, so whaaaaat two days in a row of posts???

Yesterday I went to the library here at MassArt because my friend and I are in the same art history and we decided to go and try and find some books to help us with our end of the semester papers. While we were there, we decided to look at books other than what we needed to look for, and I stumbled upon these cuties.

Two books by Martin Parr, who I just looked up online and seems like a pretty cool guy and has a similar style and taste in all things tacky and garish. He's a British photographer and documentary filmmaker and I'm really dig his work.
But the second I flipped through these two books of his in the library, I was obsessed with them, I took them out for inspiration for my video and film finals. I'm planning on scanning the images at some point, but I was too lazy to do it tonight and wanted to post this blog as quickly as possible, but still wanted to show off the work. So yeah, I apologize for the crappy webcam photo quality. I'm also charging my DSLR batteries right now cause both are dead so I couldn't take photos with that either. Again, sorry.

So yeah. Fun library finds. Fun fact: this is actually the first time I've taken something out of the library here at school. I always forget it's there and never have reasons to take stuff out... but I think I'm gonna start going there more often. They also have a HUGE and awesome selection of movies there. I also took out Back to the Future II cause believe it or not, I've never actually seen it... only the first film a million times. And then I also got The Birds cause that's another classic I haven't seen yet too.

Here's my outfit from today. Vintage 60's dress is from Grime in Worcester, MA (seriously the coolest small local secondhand store), minx skull necklace is made by Bonehouse 47, more cool Worcester based people. The rest of the outfit is from TJ Maxx (sweater and boots) and Target (tights)
